How My Kids Had Grown Up...

Wow~ it's Dec' 2007 and soon going to year 2008. Coming to year end, huh!.. i just wonder how time flies and next year my youngest princess is going to be in Primary 1 already. I still remember she is the one who cried a lot when she is small, very hot-tempered girl and i just hope she will doing well in her studies. From small baby till now, she has changed a lot, um.. shall i said from an ugly duckling she had turned out to be a beautiful swan. Last time, when her hair is short, she is very "TomBoy" her character like a boy and her kindy teacher said she look like one of the SHE famous taiwanese group member - ELLA..hehe~

I should have earlier bought a DSLR...too bad that my 3 children dont have much pictures when they are younger... at that time i give birth to my son, the only camera i have is the Olympus film camera..and all his pics are kept in the album. Until when my eldest daughter was 3 years old, i bought the PnS digital camera but the color are very bluish and not sharp. Now, i know pictures really very important, without those old pictures,..i almost forget how my kids look like when they are small. From now on, i will keep a profile for my kids, snap down all their expression and keep it for them... ya, today I have bring them to Pacific and here is the pics ~

I hate it when my baby is sick

I hate it when my kids get sick. Xen wake up on midnight (26-11) and started to vomit all over the bed and floor in my room. Since Boon are overseas he came to sleep with me. After wipe his mouth and clean the floor he drink some water and sleep back. Again, he wake up after that and vomit the water he drank just now. He got some fever too.

He vomit anything that he ate and drink. The next morning I bring him to see Dr and get some medicine for him. Luckily, he take pills and it is easier for me to feed him the medicine. He is not eating much, maybe it's because of the heat of his body. I try to wipe his body with wet towel and ask him to drink more water. But, after drink it...he will vomit them out again.


*Sigh*

I do believe all girls love flowers and I do like flowers too!! I get to shot this tiny and unique flowers when I was in Cameron. Just want to share those lovely flowers with you all. So tiny and delicate petals. It's beautiful, right?? Can anyone name the flowers for me?

50mm f1.4 - Test Shot

~ the power of 1.4, i just love it!

Thanks Panda for borrow me this lense on the recent Cameron Model Shot Trip. I just love the dreamy effect in the picture (the bokeh). Now this lense will be in my wishlist beside the 580ex speedlite, 70-200mm f2.8L IS (hehehe~ just in my wishlist...ok?), SP90mm f2.8 macro 1:1 & the wide angle lense. Beside this I also wish for the 30d or ... maybe a 40d body (in 2-3 yrs time), hehehe~ that's nothing wrong with making wish right?? As long as we are happy, a wish is still a wish no matter it will come true or just remains in our dream forever .... right?

I hope and prayed that my wish will come true one day...! yeah ~

This morning as usual, after sending my prince and princess to school. I go to fetch lovely Aeiween and together we go out for breakfast. We go to the famous "hokkien mee" beside Sentosa Mall. I just ate this on Sunday, since i like it..., i don't mind to eat this again today. Normally the "kopitiam" will be crowded with people lining up to order this "hokkien mee" most of the time. But today, to our suprised the shop are very quiet and not much customers. Maybe it's because of the "Nine Emperors Festival" and people starts vegetarian diet since, today is the last 3 days.

Josephine called me in the afternoon. She was in Alor Star for work till Friday. I went to fetched her around 3.30pm with Aeiween and together we go to Lorong Shariff for laksa, rojak and ais-kacang. Aeiween wanted to get a birthday present for her bf's granny and we go to Star Parade to buy crystals. Finally, Aeiween bought a very beautiful green coloured bracelet for her granny. Jose also bought some bracelet for herself.

Hubby called to informed me that he will take Air Asia 4.50pm flight to Hanoi. He call me again at around 9.30pm and told me he had arrived Hanoi and going to dinner with Andrew. This time i dunno how long he will stay there. I miss him so much .... i remind him to take care of himself there and work hard. Hope he will successfully earn some money back home... Take care ya my dear... what a day had passed ~I MISS YOU A LOT!

Coffee Break ~

When was your last time having coffee? When, where and with who?? I just have it this afternoon, alone by myself at home. Sometimes, i do miss some of my girlfriends. Wondering how are they doing now? How's their lives and are they okay? Happy and healthy? Miss the time we had spent together. mm...what a sweet memories...

Boring, boringgg... really boring. Oh yes, what to do to kill the boredom?? hehehe~ This few days rain con't showering from morning to night. Did u believe that I hv to off my aircond at home because it's too cold. But, i like it cold...um,..to compare with the hot sun. But,..if rains means i can't get out to take pictures. So, i just can stayed home surfing the net or ZzzZzzZ..sleeping~ Since i was like nothing to do, so i try out this test.... "DO YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CREATE ROMANCE"? Beware Of Fake Memory Cards

As for fake memory cards now proliferated throughout the marketplace, it is important to be able to spot a fake. This blog includes methods to spot fakes, and examples of fake cards. Hope it will be useful to all of u.


Why should you care ?

* Inferior quality card - you're not getting what you paid for.
* No warranty - when the card fails, you're out of luck.
* Fake cards sometimes have invalid partition sizes, making it likely to fail.
* It will drive cost of genuine cards up.


Spotting a fake

Unfortunately there is no software which will test the card, and ensure that it's genuine. You must manually scrutinise your card, (both visually and by testing it's performance), to get some idea of it's genuinity.

Presentation quality and differences:

This particular card was also missing a notch, making it quite easy to spot;

Note the faded red print on the back, and the "TM" next to "CF" at the top right side of the fake:
Note there is no serial on the bottom of the fake (serial blurred on the real one)

Fake Sony Pro Duo 2GB. Note that the fake card had poor quality printing and does not have the same various extrusions and intrusions as the genuine card. With the number of lips and dips on the genuine card. It isn't difficult to spot the fake.

Turn Pic Into Sketch

With PhotoShop now we can turn our potrait into sketch. Get to learn this from a friend in Multiply and finally, I try it out today. The result turn out amazing. I like it very much. Here is my latest pic taken on 23 September 07 shot by Aeiween and I editted it with the "Aged Effect" before I turn it into "Sketch Effect" for the second pic. For my friends who haven't seen me for quite some time. This is the latest me ... "hi !!" The other picture is my son - Xen.

Turn picture into sketch using PhotoShop

1. Ctrl J - make a new layer.

2. Go to IMAGE - Adjustment. Desaturate the picture.

3. Ctrl J - make another layer.

4. Go to FILTER - Blur. Choose Gaussian Blur. Adjust radius 2.5 pixels.

5. Go to IMAGE - Adjustment. Choose INVERT.

6. At the Layer Box there - change normal to Colour Dodge.

7. Go to FILTER - Brush Strokes. Use angled strokes and can add noise depend to the pics.

8. A nice sketch achieved. Try and see...!

The First Malaysian In Space

First Malaysian Go To Space, Nation Sets History! . . .

Wednesday (10-10-2007) Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Sheikh Mustapha blasted off from here Wednesday in a Soyuz spacecraft to become the first Malaysian to go into space. The 35-year-old astronaut, an orthopaedic surgeon from Seremban who has American Peggy Whitson and Russian Yuri Malenchenko for company, lifted off at 7.21 pm (9.21 pm Malaysian time) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in a Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft bearing the flags of Malaysia, Russia and the United States.

I wish him have a safe trip there and Selamat Hari Raya to all!

Tee Hui Yi

"Hui Yi pens ‘thank you’ message from bed"

Sign of recovery: Hui Yi signs that she is okay after writing her note

thanking everyone for their concern and well wishes.

Tee Hui Yi, 14 yrs old mechanical heart girl who once have to carry the 8kg battery with her all the time and has not give up hope. Her life is always hanging in balance and death could be imminent.

On Friday, Hui Yi went through a second operation to receive a heart from a 20 year-old mechanic, declared brain dead after an accident in Johor Bahru. A day earlier, Hui Yi had received a heart from a 15 year-old boy diagnosed as brain dead, but, soon after the operation, her body started rejecting it.

Lastest news,... double heart transplant patient Tee Hui Yi waved as she held up a whiteboard where she wrote her thanks to everyone for their concern and well wishes. Taken off the ventilator yesterday, Hui Yi sat up on her bed in the ICU of the National Heart Institute and gamely let photographers snap pictures from outside ICU.

"Hui Yi was taken off the ventilator at 10am after doctors were satisfied that she could breathe on her own relatively well. She is still on oxygen theraphy," said IJN heart and lung transplant unit clinical director Dr Mohamed Ezani Md Taib yesterday

"Her throat is still a bit sore because the tube has been in there for a couple of days. She speaks like somebody with a sore throat," he added.

I think we must thanks the donor, because the donor has pledge to donate his/her organs to help others in need and I hope she will recover soon.

I pray for her speedy recovery. Get Well Soon !!

1 year old ~ Jia Yi

How time flies!! I still remember my sis in-law called me when she is on the way to the hospital giving birth to Jia Yi at that time. It was on 16th Sept last year and now her baby is celebrating her 1st birthday. Jia Yi has changed so much...from a not so pretty baby girl now to a cute and pretty girl. It's like so called "Ugly Duckling turn out to be a Beautiful Swan". I simply love her...with her cute and "blurr blurr" look...hehe~ she is lovely and I really enjoy watching her grown up and changed day by day. The last time when I saw her, she doesn't have double eye-lids and now u can see it ...."big eyes with double eyelids" !!

I shot those pics when I'm in KL. Change its colours to "Old Photos Effect" using Adobe Lightroom. Simply love this kind of effect suited the feels in the pictures. Last time we all likes coloured pics...some of the old pics are painted just to get it coloured. But now, very convinient...we can use diffferent kind of photo software to get all kind of effect we want. I hope you all will like it !

Allergic ! ! ! . . .

Yeah! my daughter Xin Nin's swollen eyes are caused by allergic. I bring her to Dr. Ooi and he diagnosed her with allergic. It might be the food she had taken or the things around her. I couldn't get a clue on what had caused the allergic. The food she took are home cooked food, so I think it might be caused by things on her surrounding.

After taking the medicine given by the Dr. she is recovering. I hope she's feeling better now. No more itchy and swollen eyes. Thanks everyone for your concern, she is ok now!.

Lovely Niece - Loo Ern Yin

Omg,...she is so cute! My niece Ern Yin was born on 15th of Sept 07. She has got a pair of big round eyes and thick black hair. I'm sure she will grown up to be another beauty in our family...hehehe~ I went to visit my sister in-law at her parent's home in Kerpan with Aeiween and Kiang. Her mom help her with the confinement. Glad to see the baby are doing well. She was breast feed by my sis in-law and still haven't taken any milk powder so far. From the day she was born and now, I notice a big change on her ... she is more active now, look smaller now and her skin are darker...huh,..! why arrr,, ?? Is it because of the warm weather at her grandma's home or she is just tanned skinned girl?? Well, as long as she is healthy, who cares? right?? still a cute cute baby ... ^^
